June 25, 2009: 10 months 20 days old
Silas and I went to the playground for a little while today, and later, to deal with the crazy heat in our house, he got to play with a large pot of water. I decided to let him go totally natural for about an hour while he played with the water. During that time he peed four times and pooped once! He is obviously well hydrated.
June 24, 2009: 10 months 19 days old
We went out to dinner at one of our favorite mexican restaurants tonight. It's the first time we've gone out to eat in a long time. It was fun.

Silas took his first dip in the Bloomfield neighborhood pool today. It was a beautiful day for a swim. He seemed to enjoy watching the other kids playing in the water the most. We will be going back for sure!

Happy Father's Day Eric a.k.a Papa a.k.a Daddy!!! And, happy Father's day to Grandpa Jack, Grandpa Bob, Great Grandpa Helton and Great Grandpa Randall!
Eric, Silas and I took a drive out of the city and into the woods where Eric took part in a 14.5 mile Mountain Bike Race today. It was a beautiful day and the course was set up so Silas and I could see Eric racing in a couple of different locations. I took a ton of pictures and posted many of them on our flickr site here. Below are just a couple from the day. Tante Robin gave us her baby backpack and today was Silas's first ride in it. He seemed to really enjoy the view.

June 20, 2009: 10 and a half months old
It was pretty warm today so Silas hung out half naked for much of the day. He spent a long while throwing the ball and then chasing after it, and he also got to hang out with Eric in the garden. The third picture is a pretty good shot of Silas's top teeth. Pictures below...

We stopped by AIA today to visit Becky and Rachael. Silas enjoyed crawling around on the floor chasing his new snack ball. Becky was unaware that she would be in the picture in the background. Sorry, Becky... I've got to get my pregnant Becky pictures in while I still can!

Silas looks like he is waiting for something, perhaps a little impatiently? Perhaps awaiting the delicious tuna melt and french fries he would be sharing with his Papa here at Pamela's in the strip. Any second now...

Silas at the playground with his papa. We got him new sandals so he can crawl and walk outside without scraping his feet. They seem to be working out great.
June 15, 2009: 10 months 10 days old
Dinnertime consisted of bbq chicken and mac 'n' cheese. Silas is mostly eating what we eat for dinner now. It's fun. Afterward he walked for a little while with his wagon. His expression in this pic is hilarious.

Eric participated in his first adventure race today. Silas, Guthrie and I went along to cheer him on. There are a bunch of pictures from the race on our flickr site here. Below is a pic from when Eric was going from the swim to the run. Silas decided to help :)

Silas loves to sit on Eric's chest. They have a fun time playing together. It also reminded me of a picture I took when Silas was thirteen weeks old and another from when he was only eight weeks old hanging out on Eric's chest. I put those picture below, and the original blog entries for them are 13 weeks 3 days and 8 weeks 4 days.

Silas's teeth are starting to show more. He's got four on top and two on the bottom and he loves to bite everything. He actually will bite into food enthusiastically and then spit it out. Super fun for me :)

We had breakfast with the family in Philadelphia and then drove home. It was an eventful day. We stopped on the way home at a State Park and Silas got to go for a swim. Then it was home for a bbq with Papa and some corn on the cob. It was a nice day and we were both glad to be home.

Silas got to meet his Great Great Uncle Si for the first time during our visit to Philadelphia. He also got to meet his second cousins Barry, Jeff and Michael, and his Great Aunt Ellen. Everyone loved him and I took lots of pictures. You can find them on our flickr site here. Below are a couple of pics from the day. First is Silas with his Cousin Quinn, then Silas with me and his Grandma Bobbye, and finally Silas with his Great Great Uncle Si.
June 5, 2009: 10 months old!
Happy 10 month birthday Silas! We traveled to Philadelphia to got to our Cousin Hope's Bat Mitzvah and to visit with family. It took Silas and I six and a half hours to drive to Phili. Here is Silas at a rest stop along the way.

Susie was amazingly generous (as usual!) and offered to babysit Silas while I went to a dentist appointment this afternoon. It's so awesome having such caring friends here. Thank you again Susie and Carmon!

Eric took Silas to the food co-op while I was teaching yoga. Silas enjoyed a sampling of co-op food.

Eric shared some butterscotch pudding with Silas for dessert. Silas seemed to really enjoy it :)
