Silas is moving too fast for me! This is a decent video of the two of us playing with the blocks together. Ooooh, also, Silas is getting a 3rd tooth! I felt it today!!

Ruby and Susie came over to visit. We haven't seen them in over two weeks 'cause they were away on vacation. It was a really nice visit. In this picture, Silas had been standing up directly behind Ruby and holding on to her for support. They both plopped backward to a seat like dominoes. It was hilarious!

Searching for a playgroup brought us to the Oakland Public Library 'lap sit.' Babies, babies everywhere. Silas loved it (he's in the center in the green and brown striped pants facing away from the camera).

We are loving the warm weather here in Pittsburgh. Silas went and played at the local park for a little while this morning. The evening was the annual 'Art All Night' event in Lawrenceville. We walked there from the house. It was a beautiful night. Oh, and on the way home Silas finally figured out how to make a raspberry sound with his lips! I'll get a video soon.

It was over 80 degrees today, so Silas got to hang out at the park in just his diaper, some sunscreen and a hat. Our friend Ryder (in the background) was playing stick ball with Guthrie. Silas and Ryder were both watching Guthrie fetch the ball in the this pic. We all had a great time!

Happy Earth Day! Silas and I went to Mommy and Baby yoga, and then it was out to lunch with our friends. Not the best picture ever, but the blog sometimes forces me into using pics I would normally pass over. You get the idea. Mommies and Babies having fun.

Playdate with Ceci. She got some great toys for her first birthday and she was very nice and let him play piano with her. He really liked banging on the keys.

Pics from a day trip to Moraine State Park below. No pics of Silas in the canoe 'cause the life jacket was so unpleasant for him on this trip that he was in the boat for literally 1 minute. Alas. The picnicking and hiking were very nice, and Guthrie got a nice trip in the canoe with Eric. Eric took a ton of pics and he posted some of the best on his blog here. For an interesting contrast, Eric got a shot of Silas in his life jacket (pfd - personal flotation device) from our first canoe trip back in October here.
The first pic below is actually a shot of Silas's first freckle. I first noticed it around 3 months old, but this is the first picture I got of it. It's on his right inner thigh. The second pic is where we ate lunch by the lake.

I can't decide on one picture, so today there are two. The lighting at the bookstore where we go to infant storytime is great and I always get great pictures of Silas there. He loves (to eat) books. The second pic is him standing at our back door.

Eric, Silas and I went to a new coffee house near the Glass Factory... I forget what it's called, but I know it starts with an A. Silas enjoyed it and their coffee is great. Then, we came home and he took a ride in his wagon... watch the video :).

It's been about a week since Silas's first ride in a shopping cart. This was my first chance to take a picture. Then, we went to Maya and Ryder's house for an Easter potluck party, which was tons o' fun.

I don't ever do this(post pics from a day that is not today), but Chris in Madison just posted a bunch of photos from our visit back in March. I am putting three here that I think are great. Check out the rest of them here. Ok, this is also a long post 'cause I have lots to share that happened today. We went to visit Eric at work. AND, Silas just got a new 'walker wagon.' It is a special wagon that he can walk behind and it has some resistance so it won't go rolling away from him and make him fall. Pics below.

Susie convinced me that it was ok for Silas and Ruby to hang out and not get Ruby sick. Here are a couple of pics from a beautiful sunny afternoon on the South Side. The final pic is inside the new Hoffbrau House. Good beer, the pretzels were just ok.

We haven't been doing much since Silas has not been feeling well. Here he is with one of his favorite non-baby toys... the headlamp.

Silas loves to stand and is pulling himself up on every available surface. His favorite place to stand is at Guthrie's kennel. He hold on to the wire 'windows' and stares in at Guthrie. Here, he is doing the next best thing, standing at the baby gate AND messing with Guthrie's kennel door.

Silas took his first bath in the big bathtub today. As usual, he took it in stride. I have yet to see anything phase him.

Even though he only has two teeth, Silas prefers to bite and chew his food. I made blueberry muffins from scratch yesterday, here he is digging in. The second picture is Silas in a hand-me-down set of footie pj's. They used to belong to Steph's son Max. Thank you Steph for the diapers and the clothes!!! Oh, and today was the very first time ever that Silas road in the seat in a grocery cart! He's getting so big :)

Silas is pulling himself up on everything, especially his toy box. He pulls up, pulls out a toy, sits down and chews on it for a little while, then back up he goes.
