The Sansing family gathering ended today. It was a great visit. One more reference to the tons of extra photos on our flickr site here...
Eric made breakfast for us all before Robin, Quinn and Zoe hit the road. He also had time to take this video of Zoe doing sign language for Silas.

We all had so much fun together for Thanksgiving, though we really tried to cram a lot in to our last full day together and things got a little stressful at times. Overall, it was still a fabulous day.
So, we started out with brunch at Pamela's
The women + Silas then went to REI and bought some hats...
Then it was back to the house for leftovers and turkey soup, and a little more quality family time.

Silas at the table...
Everybody together at the table (except me - I'm taking the picture)
Grandpa Bob was really excited to give Silas this USC onesie
Tante spent a lot of time holding Silas. Feel the love!
Again, there are even more photos on our flickr site here.

The whole Sansing side of the family is visiting for Thanksgiving. There are many more pictures on the flickr site here, but here are a couple of highlights from today.
and, the video of Grandpa Bob entertaining Silas. It's a little dark, but I still like it.

Ok, I'm really excited about this. I don't spend a lot of time with Silas on the floor, but just yesterday we spent some quality tummy time on the floor where I was rolling him over so he could get the feel for it (Eric has done this in the past as well). So, last night, we were hanging out on the floor and Silas just rolled right over - all by himself! So this morning I set out to capture it on video.

Eric, Silas and I went to Handmade Arcade together today. There were so many babies there, it was amazing.
Afterward, we went to Eric's office, and Silas and I hung out while Eric worked. Silas is now adept at getting his fist into his mouth and chewing on his curled up index finger.
He is also able to focus on and react to objects and people more than just a foot or two away from him. We had a lot of fun together, and Eric got to come over occasionally and say hi.

Silas went to the pediatrician today for more shots. He now weighs 11 pounds 11 ounces. He's been pretty tired and cranky all day from the shots, but here he is laughing and playing with Eric. Papa always knows how to make Silas smile.
I especially love the stream of drool and look of shear joy in this one!

Silas, Guthrie and I met up with Ruby, Ivy and Susie (names: baby, dog, mom) at Frick Park today. This amazing weather is supposed to end today, so we went out and tried to make the most of it. It was a gorgeous afternoon and Silas and Ruby slept through the entire hike, but woke up when we pulled them out of their carriers. Ruby is 2 weeks older than Silas. They are such cuties, though she is always much better dressed than him :)

Sunday was a whirlwind family tour. We went back and paid one more visit with Great Grandma Randall.
Then it was back to Grandma Kathi's house to pack up.
Then we stopped in Knox, Indiana to visit with Great Grandma Helton...
...and Great Grandpa Helton.
Then we drove back to Pittsburgh. We got home around 12:30 am. If your interested in more pictures from our visit, I uploaded them to our flickr site here... and I'm sure Eric will add more interesting photos and commentary on his blog soon. So, don't forget to check there too!

On Saturday we went to the nursing home where Great Grandma Randall is currently staying. Nobody told her we were coming, so it was a great surprise. She was so incredibly excited to see Silas. It was wonderful. Here are a couple of pics from the visit.
After the visit we went back to Grandma Kathi's house for dinner. Great Grandpa Randall got to hold Silas for a little bit.
Great Aunt Bobbi happened to be in town from Fort Wayne, so she got to meet Silas too.
Daisy also wanted to meet Silas.
